Corrective Measures to Hopefully Prevent Super Aeriation in Water Lines in Case of Low Reservoir or Pump Failure

Corrective measures to hopefully prevent super aeration in water lines in case of low reservoir or pump failure:

In addition, the protocol already drafted, we will start the booster pumps one at a time and decrease the pump speed until we feel that most or hopefully all of the air is purged.

We can monitor the purge by observing open fire hydrants in Creekside. After they flow water, we will start the other pump.

After several minutes we will increase the pump speeds back to normal.

After a few minutes of full flow, we will close the hydrants.

Our hope in doing this is to prevent the sudden rush of full speed water in the system, thereby decreasing the potential for aeration problems.
