Yes. The Town used Revenue Bonds to pay for improvements on the systems as recently as 2015. A Revenue Bond requires that the organization pledge the revenues of the systems to repay the debt. The Town separates the amounts on your bill so that users can see the amount of their overall rate is committed to repayment of the bonds. However, ALL revenue generated by the water and sewer systems has an affect on the bond requirements the Town must adhere to.
Water & Sewer Billing
The responsibilities of the Water/Sewer Billing Division include providing water and sewer service and processing billing for residential and business customers in the Town of Stevensville. The Water/Sewer Billing Division works closely with the Department of Public Works in processing applications for the following services:
- Water and sewer tap connections/hookup for all new constructions.
- Create new accounts.
- Turn on/ turn off water and sewer services
- Name/Mailing changes
- Leak adjustments
