Wednesday Closures from 12pm-5:00pm at Town Hall

As many of you may have seen, the town hall administrative window was closed yesterday, June 17, 2026 from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

At the regularly scheduled town council meeting on June 11, 2026 the town council approved the closure of the administrative window for the purpose of organizing and archiving files.

The town clerk and deputy clerk will be performing these tasks and yesterday was a huge success. Building Permits are an item that have to be kept indefinitely. The town's filing system on Building Permits pre-2018 have been in loose files or scattered through out the many town boxes and filing cabinets. The deputy clerk has been able to locate all Building Permits and now we can say they are organized, filed, and easier to locate and access.

Our next area that will need extensive organization and archiving is the Zoning records, documents and projects files. 

We look forward to next Wednesday when we can tackle the next area. We would like to thank the town council and mayor for approving the closure.
